Disney has released the new Design Centric Entrance Marquee that further exemplifies the digital design world that the new Test Track’s story arch takes place within. During today’s live chat with Disney Imagineer Melissa Jeselnick on the Disney Parks Blog, not much in the way of new information was given. The closest to a release date that Disney was willing to give was “Late Fall” which rings of late November to us. As far as the ride itself, expect a digital design world overlay amongst the ride path and track you know and love. It is difficult for us to get excited over this overlay, especially after being spoiled with Radiator Springs Racers in Cars Land, though there are a few encouraging words.
Melissa Jeselnick repeatedly mentioned the use of new technology to deliver the story elements of the ride. While this could be something as simple as new audio or lighting technology, it perhaps points to a rumored effect that was first debuted in Radiator Springs Racers and might be arriving in the new Test Track.
