While new rides are woefully overdue in Epcot’s Future World and we all continue to hope that one day a new ride may even grace the World Showcase, it is undeniable that the last few years have brought an expansion of dining options throughout Epcot’s World Showcase, pushing the already wonderfully expansive cultured cuisine options to a magical proportion. When Spice Road Table opens later this year on the waterfront of Epcot’s Morocco Pavilion, guests should have another exciting experience awaiting their taste buds. And though we’ll have to wait a while before we can sample the new bites, we can already give you a look at what some of the building’s exterior theming will look like. Amidst the action of Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival 2013, we were happily surprised to see that some of the new building’s facade has been revealed from behind construction walls as certain sections near completion save for some final theming touches that are certain to be added at a later date. The bright colors used on the new doors of the building pop amongst the more muted colors of the pavilion and the general scope of the pavilion feels grander with this new addition. It adds some weight that balances out the Morocco Pavilion and surrounds you from the moment you first step towards it. The new heights of the buildings that replace the shopping structure that existed prior also add a new dimension to the area. We remain very excited as this project paces towards opening and of course we’ll be bringing you much more as that day approaches.
