The first day of spring usually begins to spell some relief to those enduring cold winters but in Florida that day normally comes and goes without anyone even noticing. That is unless you are a Disney fan and it’s spring 2014 because that is the rough date, approximately 2 months away that should see the unveiling of Disney’s latest mine (not to be confused with a mountain) roller coaster. No matter where you are, this spring marks quite the occasion as the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train attraction brings the first of its kind swinging roller coaster to the New Fantasyland realm of the Magic Kingdom. It promises to deliver the classic story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs only this time we shall be seeing it through the eyes of the lovable, whistling seven. After months and months of updates, opening day is nearly upon us and to mark the new year we thought our first update should include some fantastic new shots from around the massive footprint of the attraction.
From the main drop that quickly brings you back up to see Cinderella Castle to the swirling and diving bends near the fringes of New Fantasyland, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train already captures the imagination and it is not even complete. We’ve captured images of new angles with the Sun glistening over the attraction almost beckoning spring to arrive sooner, others just giving us a quick reminder that there is still much work to be done yet before we get to board on the beautifully themed mine train cars. For just a bit longer you’ll have to check out the construction photos below and only imagine what it will be like, but as season changes go this one will be one not to be missed in Central Florida.
