Here you see a momentary glimpse of sanity within the confusing mess of a paint scheme. This sliver looks nice but you might want to close your eyes for most of the rest of the way.
What is wrong with this picture is only highlighted further by the horrendous background of browns in the background. The sails, don’t belong in Epcot and now their poles don’t match though matching doesn’t seem to be of high priority for Disney at the moment.
It’s busy, the color scheme is the opposite of elegant and the sails cheapen the area and must go.
If I notice these things when I walk through the park, you would think the parks, manager’s would have it taken care of immediately. Then again this is a small tear compared the open wound of Future World.
I can’t remember if these were ever cool but now they are just taking away from Spaceship Earth and doing little to help project a sense of futurism at Epcot.
Disney fans often complain about the Sorcerer Mickey Hat Icon at Disney’s Hollywood Studios but at the very least it covers up the pin station at that park. This one on the other hand is in the very heart of the park. Could you imagine this just sitting at the end of Main Street USA? Somehow for Epcot, Disney has lowered their standards and too often we as Disney proponents have let them.
I’m officially letting it be known that this hideousness has got to go.
Repeat after me. Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. Now just look at this Disney Pin Station and Electric Umbrella. Clearly they don’t fit. Not to mention the tackiness and cheapness of the tarps.
