Adding capacity to Walt Disney World’s theme parks is all the rage these days for the Walt Disney Company as they face ever-growing crowds and in an attempt to improve the overall guest experience. We’ve seen the expansions taking place at Magic Kingdom from New Fantasyland, to MK’s “hub,” and even at Disney’s Animal Kingdom where Harambe keeps growing and growing. Although this latest connector pathway newly opened in Animal Kingdom’s Asia is of a smaller scale it aims for the same overarching goal. Best of all, it feels as if the pathway had always been a part of the park while giving guests an enhanced, now 360˚ look at the Howler Monkeys exhibit. It is the simple, almost unnoticed plussing that Walt Disney made his theme parks famous for and it’s exciting when even in the smallest of ways Disney Parks improve. So to celebrate this latest Disney addition, I ask you to join me for a little walk through of the new path from the entrance to Kali River Rapids, to the shores of the soon to arrive Rivers of Light.
