You may want to catch up on the films if you otherwise haven’t done so already and this recap film catches you up by bringing splices of the most important sequences of the Star Wars saga. It feels like a nice refresher course for those who’ve already seen the films but that’s really what you’re in for at Star Wars Path of the Jedi which concludes with a trailer for the new film but one you are likely to have already seen.
The Future of Star Wars at Walt Disney World
Star Wars is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in a big way in the future but for now we have it in this smaller way that amounts to another Disney overlay. But while that should temper your expectations of just what you will encounter on your next visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios you should know that it does add quite a bit to the overall experience and makes the day, if you are a Star Wars fan, quite a bit more enjoyable and really serves as a good teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Soon we may see Star Wars Launch Bay serve as a preview center for future Star Wars films like Rogue One and likely even for the Star Wars themed land itself once it gets closer to its opening day. Better still, we know that beginning December 18 (with a special ticketed event preview the night before) Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular will bring the new music of Star Wars: The Force Awakens to the sky with what should be nothing short of a dazzling nightly firework display. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve mentioned to anyone who would listen that Disney’s Hollywood Studios needed the nightly firework show that was taken from it years ago as it begins its climb back to true respectability amongst the Walt Disney World theme park arena. So I’m incredibly thankful that the decision has been made to bring John Williams’ Star Wars themes to guests in a sure to be brilliant new firework show. That in of itself goes a long way towards helping to round out the amazing experiences to be had at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. So while Star Wars Launch Bay and the myriad of Star Wars themed experiences now and coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios are no Star Wars land, they are a very welcome start onto a path to that amazing galaxy far, far away that soon will be in the reach of Orlando and Anaheim.
