“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Hype Is Real, You’ve Felt It
Whether it’s on cereal boxes or your latest car commercial marketing tie-ins with Star Wars: The Force Awakens are everywhere, it only makes sense that Disney theme parks should have a dedicated space for the movie as well. Guests entering Star Wars Launch Bay are carrying with them the excitement for the new film that carries on the Star Wars tradition and likely shall create all new ones. That is exactly why when you reach the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Preview Gallery you’ll likely awe in what you see despite the relatively small space dedicated to the upcoming film. But before we get to seeing the sights within the gallery itself we can’t go without mentioning the mockup of Rey’s Speeder that is the first artifact of Star Wars: The Force Awakens that you’ll encounter outside of the preview film playing at the Launch Bay Theater. All indications we’ve seen of Rey’s character in the film point to an incredible story and there are so many early clues you can draw from her speeder which she uses on the desert world of Jakku. She has scavenged parts from a downed Imperial Destroyer and other finds scattered throughout the barren wasteland in order to survive. The Speeder stands prominently within its Star Wars Launch Bay display and gives you a sense of scale for the interplanetary journey we shall embark on when the film hits theaters in just a few short days. Inside the gallery now we also find Rey’s goggles, blaster and even framed art of her and BB-8 walking off into the adventurous desert.
Of course the hero side within the Preview Gallery doesn’t end there as we have a beautiful scale model of the Millennium Falcon, Poe’s helmet, a model of a Resistance X-Wing with BB-8 atop and more. But let’s not kid ourselves, the showstopper at this gallery is the Dark Side now under the helm of the First Order. There is a Flametrooper suit. Let me repeat that, within Star Wars Launch Bay you’ll definitely take a picture or two of this totally awesome Flametrooper as seen in the various trailers for the movie. And beside it are Kylo Ren’s Lightsaber and Captain Phasma’s Steel Helmet but as with any good Disney attraction the fun isn’t complete until there is a store, so that’s where we dive into next.
