In my last post I said that I probably wouldn’t be able to head back to the Disneyland Resort until 2012. Turns out I was wrong! I recently went back and there were quite some noticeable developments over in Disney’s California Adventure. So join me and let’s check out what’s new with Carthay Circle Theater and Cars Land!
As you can see, the scaffolding is off most of the building now.
A welcome sight for fans of DCA as the tower pierces the clear blue…
Still a bit more that needs to be done.
Looking great already though, isn’t it?
Next we head over to the future site of Cars Land.
Here’s a peek at Radiator Springs…
Maters’ Junkyard Jamboree…just one of the 3 attractions opening up in this all new area of DCA.
Doesn’t it look just like in the movie?!
A glimpse into the future…
Looking towards the Radiator Springs courthouse…
Bet something neat is under those sheets of plastic.
And what better way to close off the holiday season…Walt’s Christmas tree!
As you can see, it’s a small update but an update nonetheless. Looking back, 2011 has been a great year at the Disneyland Resort. We got to see a new parade with Soundsational, race through space with the newly renovated Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, go under the sea on The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure and go high in the sky with Goofy’s Sky School. Now with Cars Land and Ghirardelli Chocolates coming to California Adventure, along with a special surprise on New Year’s Eve, we can’t wait to see what Disney has in store for us next! Have a Happy New Year, and we’ll see you in 2012!
