It was a great time at D23’s Magic & Merriment 2011 and we hope you are enjoying our retelling of it (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4). We are building up for some great experiences yet to come and in this update we get to share some time with Disney Legends as some of you might have already noticed. But there are so many great surprises in this update but we can’t tell you what they are because well you know…so join us after the break will ya?
The Walt Disney Christmas Show…presented by Johnson & Johnson…
Walt Loved His Trains 🙂
Who doesn’t love Tink?
We are off to Neverland!
Mirror, mirror on the wall…
…could she be the fairest of them all?
Time to strike up the band!
Wouldn’t be a D23 event without some goodies and for now, how about some Christmas sugar cookies…
I don’t even need to tell you that Donald is the best! Right, right?! Ok, glad we agree 😉
Walt’s character is infectious…
Seeing this classic Donald cartoon was a real treat.
Poor guy is getting destroyed by the laws of physics.
And…now the star of the Walt Disney Christmas Show herself!
Disney Legend Kathryn Beaumont
What a delightful personality and it was just great to meet her on the next day of the event.
Looks like Casey Jr. couldn’t wait till the New Fantasyland Opening to make his debut 🙂
And now some free time to explore Epcot on our own and explore we shall! What a beautiful sky over Paris!
Look at all the different poinsettias…
Disney has left this area open to guests despite it being primarily used for the Food & Wine Festival.
Can’t get over the beauty of Morocco at Epcot though I promise I’ll go more in depth at all the countries soon 😉
Arabian nights at Epcot…
The Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow lives on!
This camel is clearly a Bob Marley fan…
Japan’s Katsura Grill quick service and surrounding areas have reopened to guests after a somewhat lengthy refurbishment.
The story of Christmas is told throughout the World Showcase in many variations paying tribute to the traditions to the various countries represented at Epcot.
As part of Magic & Merriment, we have reserved seating for this night’s showing of the Candlelight Processional.
But first a little Americana!
The World Showcase is filled with entertainment that really makes the pavilions come to life.
…and you thought Santa was in the North Pole.
There can never be too many Christmas trees…
Classic Disney Character Ornaments
Are you ready for a Precious collection?
Precious Moments & Disney…
And from Precious Moments to another set of collectables.
I love Christmas Villages but for now I’m just window shopping, though Ice Cream sounds good right about now.
This is a really creative one…
…but its time to look for the big man himself.
Come on you know who I’m talking about…
…Santa! And Mrs. Claus too!
How do you top that, well Da Mouse has a few answers to that question first…how about an EPCOT Mickey on the American Bass Drum.
