I know you are thinking what’s this? Well this is the view of the backside of New Fantasyland via the Walt Disney World Railroad and quite frankly it is much more visible in person than it comes across in these photos.
It is a major concern of mine, because you can clearly make out the back stage area and it really does detract from the story Disney is trying to tell both on the train and in Fantasyland. Still I’m giving Disney the benefit of the doubt until the bulk of New Fantasyland opens later this year.
Now onto Storybook Circus…
The new Fantasyland Train Station exterior is almost complete.
The buildings and colors go together remarkably well and really add some weight to an area of the park that before lacked that.
The wood is being stained to a nice beautiful color…
This decorative metal piece will surely be added in between more of these metal columns and boy does it look great. My snapshot really doesn’t do it justice, then again I love details and this is certainly one of them.
Even something as minute as this roofing adds some texture and feel to the area.
Here is a good look at the before and after of the staining…
I can’t wait for this to be open…
Though the building will house little more than bathrooms…
…it clearly will be an aesthetically pleasing sight.
The Barnstormer is about ready for its relaunch…
As you can tell they’ve made it nearly impossible to snap pictures but we managed to snap a few here and there as best we could.
Mickey’s Toontown Fair holding on for dear life.
Another area I hope gets about a billion trees in the next few weeks 🙂 and here I’m pretty sure it will.
I can’t wait for the Castle Wall to expand out further!
At first glance it seems not much work has been done here but wait till you see some over the wall construction pics of this wall!
Oh yeah we are going to see over that wall!
Roofing and wall connected to the bathrooms near Pinnochio’s
Simple but it fits in nicely…
Just a friendly reminder to ride Snow White’s Scary Adventures before it meets its much deserved fate. Trust me I’ve enjoyed this little dark ride as much as anyone but as Rafiki once said, “It is time.”
The walls were pushed back to accomodate the removal of the old Dumbo attraction…more on that later!
Really pushed back…
Beast’s castle still looks great and I have a feeling when all is said and done and you walk up to it, it’s going to look very beautiful amongst Fantasy Forest.
Though I must say I’m starting to think the Little Mermaid’s rockwork might steal the show!
Why it’s a mighty yellow crane for all your Seven Dwarfs Mine Coaster needs…
I am fascinated with these wires…can someone tell me what they are used for?
I bet they are nothing but not knowing is making my mind run wild with possibilities 😉
