After a morning filled with the traditional Epcot sights, it was time to get a taste of some of the Epcot sounds that truly make for an unforgettable visit. After our voyage on Spaceship Earth, we set our sights on the World Showcase where guests had been enjoying the discussion panels put forth by D23 to commemorate the occasion. As we made our way to Epcot 30’s main celebration at the America Gardens Theatre, we met some incredible people. Everyone had a different story to share and we were always ready to listen. Whether it was the gentleman who was an engineer who worked on the construction of Epcot and showed us a fantastic copy of the EPCOT Opening Day Orlando Sentinel, or the Disney fan who was kind enough to share his love for pins and the purchases he made at Mouse Gears earlier in the day, it was they who truly elevated the occasion. And then out of seemingly nowhere we were serenaded by the wonderful Mariachi Cobre that has been a mainstay of the Mexico Pavilion since the park made its debut. The celebration was now in full swing and what a good time it would be.
