It isn’t long before Downtown Disney officially becomes Disney Springs and with all the newly opened up shops its hard not to see why. Yet what’s next is all-new and in many ways even more exciting. Town Center, one of Disney Springs’ neighborhoods has just begun construction. It has already gone vertical with more to come in the coming months. The “springs” of Disney Springs are being built along similar lines as the waterways that were once a part of Pleasure Island but surely enhanced to fit in better with the new shops and theming of this reimagined and expanded Disney retail universe. From high above we see The Landing as it approaches its completion ever so quickly. The Boathouse, the featured restaurant and bar with its unique entertainment offerings that will include Amphicars is receiving its paint and trimmings, including the beautiful maritime styled flag pole that now attracts the eye of guests as they pass on by. The Hangar has progressed immensely nearby and even Paradiso 37 has joined in the expansion fun with a ton of work taking place on the outside edges of their building as the temporary bridge nearby is being demolished.
Closer to the West Side, we see construction of the new bridge that will help move traffic to and from the district and of course the West Side Parking Garage that continues to be completed even as most of it is already operational. As if that wasn’t enough in this mammoth undertaking, the new Pedestrian Walkway appears to have arrived on site as well. With so much to see, we won’t keep you any longer, enjoy the latest construction photos of Disney Springs and stay tuned as we bring more from the retail wonderland in the making in the coming days.
